Tuffnell Plumbing & Drainage has been proudly serving the Nelson and Tasman region since 1915. Family owned and operated by Dennis Tuffnell up until his passing in 2007, Kevin and Alexa Harris have dedicated themselves to maintaining and building upon the history of top quality workmanship and prompt, reliable service. Today, we have a permanent staff of 12 employees who are supported by a competent office structure. All of our employees are certified plumbers, gasfitters and drain-layers, who take great pride in the work that they do. Managing Director Kevin Harris has National Certificates in Civil Works & Services (Roading –Trenching), Water Reticulation (Service Person) and as a Master Plumber. Along with these qualifications he has over 20 years experience within the industry. With 12 years on the tools and 5 years in the role of project/quoting Manager to setting up his own business and purchasing Tuffnell, he has committed himself to a quality of work that he can be proud to stand behind. He’s even travelled to Mongolia where he spent 6 months training and supervising Mongolians in western plumbing and drainlaying standards. Backed by this experience, you can be sure the work completed by our team is completed correct and up to code.
